When deciding on a vacation for you and the rest of the family, or you and your partner on a romantic getaway, in fact anyone one for that matter, it can be quite a challenge. There are so many remarkable places around the globe to visit. However, there is something special about Cape Town. Something that. It is place, I’d say, everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
I live in Cape Town, and I myself, did not realize the amount of things Cape Town has to offer. To a certain extent I took the great sandy beaches and close communities for granted.
Cape Town is filled with a variety of people who all come from many cultural backgrounds. This is what makes it’s so special, interacting with others on different levels. Although these people come from different communities and racial backgrounds, the spirit of Ubuntu is still being held up. And one feels most welcome.
I will never grow tired of speaking of the beauty Table Mountain has to offer. Once you have reached the top of the mountain with the mini cable car, which I often describe as a space ship, you realize and capture the true beauty of nature, the true beauty of Cape Town. The view takes ones breath away, out of pure amazement and gratitude.
Along with a view, a drink could come in handy right? Cape Town has a variety of wine farms to offer all the wine lovers. Some of the best wine farms are around the areas Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franshoek. Good food and wine is a plus side to visitation within the Cape region. Because it’s multicultural, the restaurants around the city is very much versatile. From eating pap en wors – a traditional African meal – at a local restaurant to a seafood platter. The city caters for your taste buds introducing you to many different cultures and flavours.
Not only does one have a selection of foods to try out, but also a variety of beaches to enjoy during the hot summer days all around the Atlantic Ocean Coastline. Boulders beach is one to remember, It feels as if though you’re on an island; rocks enclosing the water, it feels like one is in a different world, with the rocks, pure white sand, and penguins along the sea. It’s more private than other beaches, it’s great a great choice for the family and kids.
These are just a few of the places around Cape Town.
With so much to choose from, how can one not fall in love with this place?
