The name alone sounds exciting!
This fun and exciting park consist out of lush coastal forests and green grassland for days. It is a home to various herds of Africa’s wildlife, including; White Rhino, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala, Bontebok, Lechwe and many more species. Wouldn’t it be an honour to experience and see these species live and direct?
Before worrying about whether or not these animals get the freedom that they want, the park allows the animals to roam freely, unrestricted in the natural surroundings. The proud owner of the park operates on animal friendly park basis, no hunting or other disturbance of the game is permitted. This means that you are able to get up close, with great views and awesome photo opportunities.
Take a drive in your own vehicle or with your tour guide through the park on well-maintained roads and enjoy viewing the game come rain or sunshine. If you’re an animal lover and want to get a close up, the 2 hour guided tour is available for you in an open Landrover, including a professional tour guide providing you with the nitty gritty.
What can you experience?
There are two types of game drives to choose from…
Whether it may be rainy or sunny, you will enjoy viewing the game from the comfort of your own cozy car. The animals are used to and aware of motor vehicles, this allows visitors to get close enough for great photos. It is a 2 hour drive on the well maintained roads.
Guided game drive
If you Choose the 2 hour game drive, you are transported in one of the open vehicles including a professional guide, giving visitors the opportunity to get up close ,the animals, whilst the guide feeds you with detailed information about the animals and the historical background to the area.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]If you’re head of heels for fury animals, then this is perfect for you. Kragga Kamma Game Park offers visitors Cheetah Tours.
Not only do you get to see your favourite animal, you get to enjoy a close up interaction with one of the cheetahs. How adorable?
Tours are every hour at 10:00 am to 15:00 pm everyday and are approximately 15 minutes in duration. Remember to enquire at reception once you’ve arrived at the park.
There truly is a bit of everything for everyone…
The parks well known bird of prey is the Jackal Buzzard and other species such as Fish Eagles, Yellow Billed kites, and Sparrow every so often hawks also occur. More than 200 species of wild birds and waterfowl have been documented.
The forest walk also known as Monkey Walk
Journey along the 400 metre treetop boardwalk into the forest where you are able to view monkeys and various other species of forest dwellers. From the Bush Cafe, you can take a stroll along a lovely circular raised wooden walkway.
Remember, 8 adults or one elephant at a time on the suspension bridge please
If you’re in luck, a cheetah might be waiting for you on the other side. If you always wanted to be high in the sky, wander along at treetop height, the 400m walkway where you are able to capture the residents troop of vervet monkeys, bush buck, nyala, a multitude of birdlife, including the striking Knysna Loerie ( Turaco ) you may even see the very timid and elusive BLUE DUIKER !
